Wilshire End of Year Carnival: Our Wilshire School Council is thrilled to invite you to our Wilshire End of Year Carnival!

Discover Kindergarten: We would like to invite all our new Junior Kindergarten (Year 1) families to our school’s Virtual Discover Kindergarten information session to learn more about the Kindergarten program. The purpose of this session is to:
- learn more about Kindergarten play-based learning;
- become familiar with school routines including bussing;
- share critical information about school- and community-based supports for families;
- invite new members into school council;

June Spirit Days! We are bringing a little fun into the month of June by having a few spirit days on Wednesday. Mark your calendars and bring your cheer to class.
Joyful June has arrived! This month’s theme is all about finding the joy in life, even when things are difficult. Research has shown that experiencing positive emotions in a 3-to-1 ratio with negative ones leads to a tipping point beyond which we naturally become more resilient to adversity. So let’s train our brains to find the joy. Here are some great ways for your families to get started!
Kindergarten Registration 2021 – 2022: Children who turn four or five years old during 2021 and live within our school boundary will be eligible to register for kindergarten. Registration information is available on the YRDSB website at Kindergarten Registration. All new kindergarten registrations will be done online this year. Please see the link or email our school office at wilshire.es@yrdsb.ca for more information.
Grade 8 Graduation: This year we will be celebrating our Grade 8 Graduates through a Virtual Graduation Ceremony on June 21st. A link and more information will be shared with families in the coming weeks.
